The "In-Between"

Have you ever gone through a transition in your life? If you answered yes, congratulations, you are a person! I recently graduated and am in the “in-between” with living at my parents home, back to the town I grew up in, and un-employed. Restless nights turn into lazy mornings and pretty soon I have lost much motivation for just about everything. I  go out and have exciting conversations about my future, yet come home and binge watch Netflix and drink wine. I would look up healthy recipes and workout schedules, knowing that my body needs this, but do nothing about it. I look up ideas on how to find cute new work outfits, yet do not have motivation to shop. I know everything in order to feel better, but I just am not getting better.

I think back to the time I started this blog, a Taylor that was full of hopes and dreams, ready to brand herself to help others. Yet, I fell short because I started something out of excitement and lost motivation throughout the way. I started getting expectations of what a “blog” is supposed to look like and knocked down by the statement “everyone has a blog now”. That excitement and motivation somehow got lost in insecurities and busyness.

I tell you all this not for some "pity party" and not even to tell you that I am out of this state, because it is still a journey. I know that everyone has been in an “in-between” transition and we have all dealt with it in many ways. I hear stories of people graduating college and becoming alcoholics, getting three jobs just to afford living, moving back in with family at home, or just flat out confused where they will be in a week let alone a month. How can we move from a state of “in between” to being okay with the transition?

Well, I do not know the answer to that and if you do let me know. This post is the beginning of a journey to start to become excited again and not only excited but motivated. If any of you are feeling lost, sad, or even confused, I encourage you to join the journey with me. It is through community that we can begin to conquer this “in-between” and help others face it head on when they experience it.
